Hidden Mickey Monday!
Today's Mickey is super tiny! The small black Mickey can be found in the design of this pillar in the Matterhorn Bobsled queue. When the line splits in two, the left hand side passes this little Mickey.

Disney Freebies Friday!: Jungle Cruise Map
Most people think that you can't leave the park with any memorable souvenir for free. Over time you hear rumors online or from other park goers about special things in the park, including freebies. The best way to confirm or disprove is to simply ask a cast member. Honestly, they are always really nice, and if they don't have the answer they will find out for you, I've found that cast members are just as crazy and excited about Disney as the rest of us!
Today is the first post about Disney Freebies!
I recently heard online that at the end of the Jungle Cruise ride, while disembarking, to ask a cast member for a map of the ride. Sure enough, this is what they gave me! It's an old illustration done of the course of the river, that has been reprinted on a thick weight paper. I was really excited to find out that this freebie was true!

In February, Disneyland celebrated "True Love" weekend, in honor of Valentine's day. I drove down to SoCal to visit Ryan, and we spent a day in the park. There were a lot of special events going on for the weekend which was exciting since this was the first time the park has really celebrated for Valentine's. Last year we went to the park after classes, and Disneybounded as Carl and Ellie from Up.
The park featured special decorations along Main Street.
There were also special food options, like the "True Love" cupcake at Jolly Holiday, and the strawberry chocolate chip pancakes at the Carnation Cafe.
But the highlight of the day was the character lineup. All the princesses were joined by their princes at the temporary Princess Walk in Fantasyland! One of Disney's favorite characters who is practically never seen in the parks (except for the Christmas parade), THE BEAST was out with Belle. I know we are crazy for waiting 4 hours to see him, but it was worth it!
