This Mickey is a new addition to the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost store, just across from the entrance to the Indiana Jones ride.

Refurbishment: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Alice reopened last week after some minor refurbishments. When the attraction closed it was announced that exterior improvements would be made, but it turns out they updated the inside as well. The tarps along the outside leaf ramp are finally down! They had been up for a number of years, and were such an eyesore. Also some of the railings along the leaf ramp have been made permanent, but don't look quite so tacky. The inside received new paint, as well as quite a few digital screens portraying animations along the ride. While these updates are a little modern for the style of ride, I think they fit in for the most part. A major change is that the singular creepy Alice figure has been removed, and now Alice appears twice in the ride, once in Tulgey Wood, and a second time seated at the Mad Tea Party table. Two other omissions that I am not as excited about were the removal of the Cheshire cat at the bottom of the decline, as well as the Mad Tea Party sign visible from the queue. Altogether the improvements are a must see!

Disney Secrets: The Incredible Mr. Limpet

Recently Ariel's Undersea Journey had a few modifications made. A few new fish were added, the lighting was altered, a few of the Ariels got new wigs, and Mr. Limpet was added to the Under the Sea room!

Right after you pass Ariel, turn around on the right side of your shell to catch a glimpse of Mr. Limpet watching the party.

Today's Hidden Mickey can be found in a golden Mickey-shaped confetti piece atop the steamboat in the finale sequence of Mickey and the Magical Map at the Fantasyland Theater.

 This Mickey is one of my all time favorites! In the Village Haus, next to Pinocchio's Daring Adventure, nestled among various odds and ends, is miniature sailing ship, which has a very small Mickey painted on the back.

You should have seen the effort to get this photograph! I had to climb on some of the tables and get behind a large wooden rocking horse to get a good view. This ship occasionally gets moved around in the restaurant, so have fun finagling a glimpse of your own!

After a quick trip to Asgard you can meet the famous Avenger for yourself!

Make sure you stop by the Bug's Land theater in California Adventure to see the exclusive sneak peek of Maleficent. This theater is equipped with the means for an un-matched preview with 4D effects! You get to watch extended scenes from the trailer, and get a really great peek at Maleficent's amazing make-up!

These little Mickeys can be found in the Little Mermaid ride. In the "Kiss the Girl" scene, the puckering frogs have a few Mickeys on their backs. They can be hard to see due to the dark lighting in this room.

Annual Passholder Event: Sleeping Beauty's 55th Anniversary

Last week, on January 31, to celebrate Sleeping Beauty's 55th Anniversary of it's theatrical debut, Disneyland offered Annual Passholders the opportunity to watch the film on Main Street at the Opera House, and to remain in Fantasyland 2 hours after the rest of the park closed. They also hosted classic Sleeping Beauty characters not often seen in the parks, such as Aurora, Prince Phillip, Maleficent, and the 3 fairy godmothers, Fauna, Flora and Merriweather. The event was pretty full, but it was awesome to stay in the park late and see all the characters around Fantasyland!

Dole Tiki Juice Bar Expansion

The Dole Tiki Juice Bar is currently closed for business with signs announcing expansion! Dole whips and floats are among my favorite Disney treats, so I am super excited to see what is in store for this expansion. Will post updates as soon as they re-open!*

*Unfortunately no new drinks are available after construction.

Hidden Mickey Monday!

This little Mickey is one of my favorites, located in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The very last room, where drunk pirates come dangerously close to blowing the whole place up, this shield featuring a Mickey crest can be seen hanging on the wall. It's location in the room changes periodically, but it's usually somewhere you have to awkwardly turn your head to see.

This classic Mickey profile is located in the Sorceror's Workshop area inside the Art of Animation Building.  The very first room features interactive optical illusions and animation tricks. On one of the spinners, this Mickey can be found.
